A wedding gift for a couple of friends.

This is the S.S. Universe Explorer docked in Cape Town, SA. The ship used to be the ocean-going home of the Semester At Sea program, and was affectionately known as the floating mattress. She's since been decomissioned, I believe - the new ship is blue, which is fairly blasphemous to those who sailed on the Great White Mother.

~24in. x 17in.

15 hrs, pastel and charcoal.

Thanks, doll. We've all got our own talents, but I bet if you set your mind to the task (and maybe fifteen years' practice, like I've had), you could draw, too.
